In 2024, Sanderson Recruitment acquired the Strive Internship Programme from Hargreaves Lansdown and required a complete rebrand. The challenge was to create an identity that remained true to the Sanderson brand while appealing to a younger, early-career audience.
To begin the project, I facilitated a series of brand workshops with the Strive team. These sessions identified key themes: the programme needed to feel exciting, inclusive and forward-looking, while expressing the values of connection, progression and employability.
Building on these insights, I explored how the ideas of pathways and progression could be represented visually. The final Strive logo features upward-angled lettering with an arrow motif to symbolise growth and momentum. Its typography reflects Sanderson’s own but introduces a friendlier and more youthful tone.
The wider identity takes inspiration from Sanderson’s brand but introduces brighter, richer colours, playful typographic weights and energetic graphic patterns to create a sense of vibrancy and approachability that resonates with a younger audience.
